Why Vietnam

A market on the rise, not a cost play.

We didn't build the Hub here because it was cheap. We built it here because Vietnam is becoming one of the world's serious technology markets. Arkyi combines a newly established consulting model with experienced technology leadership: Our Leadership Team bring 15 years working in Vietnam alongside some of the world's largest companies.

A rising tiger economy

Vietnam is widely regarded as one of Asia's next rising tiger economies: among the fastest-growing in Southeast Asia, with sustained GDP growth that has held up through global slowdowns.

A young, STEM-educated workforce

A median age around 32, with more than half the population under 35. Vietnam is home to more than 500,000 young STEM and tech professionals, with thousands more graduating each year, according to World Bank research, one of the fastest-growing tech talent pools in the region.

Where global tech is placing its bets

By the end of 2024, Samsung has invested US$23.2 billion in Vietnam, operating six manufacturing facilities and its largest research and development centre in Southeast Asia. Intel has invested US$1.5 billion in its Ho Chi Minh City assembly and test facility - the largest in Intel's global network. Together with continued investment from other global technology companies, these commitments are strengthening Vietnam's position as one of Asia's most closely watched technology and manufacturing markets.

A stable region, backed by real infrastructure

Vietnam is widely regarded as one of Southeast Asia's more politically and economically stable markets. In December 2025, the government stood up Vietnam's first International Financial Centre (spanning Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang), signalling long-term institutional commitment. Vietnam also leads the surge in contactless and digital payment adoption across Asia-Pacific.

Proximity

Vietnam sits just 1 hour behind Perth and a few hours behind Sydney (AEDT/AEST), with daily direct flights from Australia's east coast taking as little as 8 hours. That means easy access for clients who want to visit in person, and a team that's genuinely available for daily stand-ups and real-time collaboration, not working asleep on the other side of the world.

Value, not extraction

We've seen the standard offshore playbook up close: treat the Hub as a cost line, extract cheap labour, call it a delivery model. Arkyi is built differently, because we've walked this road ourselves: we know where to tread carefully, and where to move fast. Most importantly, we work alongside our people and invest in the culture we've built together, not treat them as a cut-rate labour service.
